It often occurs that our offices receive questions from mommies or daddies, breeders, vets, etc., asking whether it is possible to have their pet transferred abroad, especially with regard to cats and dogs, but sometimes even to other animals such as livestock, fishes, ornamental chickens, laboratory animals, etc.
This article has therefore been written with the intent to inform potential customers on the animals we are specialized in with regard to their international transfer and on those we are not specialized in and for which we cannot give our assistance.
Here are the animals we do transport
If you have chosen Bliss Pets, it is because you want to transfer your pet. Did you know that the word “Pet” refers mainly to Cats and Dogs?
All the other animals fall within the category of exotic animals. Bliss can also transport some animals that fall within this category.
Now your question will surely be: “But I have neither a monkey nor a boa, so are they not exotic animals?”.
The definition “exotic animal ” does not, however, refer to the distant origin of animals but to “their uncommon presence within families“.
However, during these past years, more and more exotic animals have become a member of a family.
For example, rabbits, parrots (or other kinds of birds), turtles, chinchillas, etc., fall within the category of exotic animals.
Therefore, what animals can travel with us?
Here below is a list of such animals:
- Dogs
- Cats
- Ferrets
- Rabbits (on request)
- Parrots or other birds (on request)
- Turtles (on request)
- Chinchillas (on request).
On the contrary, here are the animals that do not travel with us
Here below is a list of the animals we do not transport:
- Livestock and equine
- Zoo animals
- Fishes
- Ornamental chickens
- Laboratory animals (not for the general public).
Conclusion
The above-listed animals are those that can either travel or not travel with Bliss Pet Services. As regards the second group of animals, it is not possible for us to assist you with your animals’ journey!
If, on the other hand, you have one of the pets falling in the first category, we have a surprise for you, i.e. a guide that will help you better prepare your pet before his/her departure to a foreign country!
